Same story, different day

Well, it's been a while. First and foremost, we have no adoption news. I know, BIG surprise. As usual, we are getting the runaround. When we finally get a response, it is the standard "We are waiting to hear, blah blah blah". Whatever. I have been contacted by many other parents who are in the same boat with the same issues, and these people are ready to move, whatever it takes. It has passed being ridiculous and even shameful. There is absolutely no reason that our kids are not in our homes and being loved and nurtured. There is no excuse for lack of professionalism. There is no point in hiding behind God. That is just sad. God gave us brains and abilities and he expects us to use that to honor Him and His Glory. It isn't God that has kept our children in Liberia. I don't even agree that it is His will. He brought these children to our attention and has now allowed them to be given our name. He has allowed all of the paperwork to be completed. He has paved the way. Now we just need someone who feels the same urgency and determination to get us an appointment at the Embassy. We are tired, but it is okay. Fortunately there is more than one way to achieve results.

We are making big changes around here and it is very exciting! The kids are enjoying their summer and we are of course just trying to keep up. We made it through vacation and had a blast being together with our family. I hope everyone is well!

I am sorry. I can't imagine how frustrated you feel. Just to hold your babies.

I've been praying for you for many months now! Mechy is a celebrity at my work as I have his photo up in my cube, the one of him with the soccer ball on his head. When I told one co-worker that he was coming home in the next few weeks she clapped her hands and smiled and said "YAHOO!" It was really cute! I will be praying for you and the others traveling the second you leave, until the second I know you are all in the states. Hang in there, it is almost done.
